Amy Schumer Flaunts Dramatic Slimdown in New Instagram Pic: ‘Legs for Days’
The comedian and actress has previously spoken candidly about her experiences with weight loss treatments, including Ozempic and Mounjaro.
Amy Schumer is proudly showing off her noticeably slimmer figure.
On Saturday, Oct. 4, the 44-year-old star shared a new Instagram post featuring a photo from a recent Las Vegas getaway with close friends Alex Saks and Jillian Bell.
Wearing a chic Miu Miu button-down mini shirt dress paired with sleek black heels, Schumer highlighted her striking weight loss.
Fans and friends flooded the comments with praise for her transformation. Skincare guru Georgia Louise wrote, “Amy … those legs need to make more appearances!!!” while Lee Daniels commented, “Skinnnnnnnny mommmmma.”
Real Housewives of New Jersey star Margaret Joseph chimed in as well, writing, “Ok legs for days!!🔥🔥❤️.”
Schumer has long been transparent about her weight loss journey. She previously shared her “awful experience” with Ozempic, explaining that she underwent liposuction in 2022.
During a January interview on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show, she revealed, “I have this gene, GDF15, that makes me super prone to nausea. That’s why I was so sick during pregnancy. I tried Ozempic almost three years ago, and I was basically bedridden—throwing up, exhausted. For me, it wasn’t worth it. But other people have great results, so good for them.”
She added that her symptoms were so severe that she couldn’t even play catch with her 6-year-old son, Gene David, whom she shares with husband Chris Fischer.
In a June 2023 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Schumer bluntly addressed Hollywood’s silence around the topic. “Everyone’s lying, saying, ‘Oh, I’m just eating smaller portions.’ Like, shut the f— up. You’re on Ozempic or something similar, or you’ve had work done. Just be honest,” she said. “When I got lipo, I told people I got lipo.”
More recently, Schumer revealed she’s found a medication combination that works well for her: estrogen and progesterone for perimenopause symptoms, and Mounjaro, a GLP-1 drug often prescribed for type 2 diabetes and weight loss.
“My perimenopause symptoms have completely vanished. My hair’s thicker, my skin looks better, and I have so much more energy,” she wrote on Instagram in March. “I’m having a really positive experience, and I wanted to be upfront about that.”
Schumer has emphasized the importance of honesty when it comes to weight loss and health. “Everyone on camera is doing this stuff,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “I just wanted to be real about it.”
